Retail therapy. She’d never thought of it before, and now, as she drank her vanilla milkshake she knew why. Yes, she had a lot more stuff that she wanted – clothes, books, writing material, all sorts of odd things, all from the pocket money she had somehow managed to save up – usually as soon as money touched her hands it was immediately replaced with something else. She had more stuff, but she felt no better. She felt to depressed to wonder much about that other people were thinking about her. Yet again, they felt distant. Yet again she felt an urge to hurt someone, just to know what it was like, to see if she felt the guilt. Yet again something held her back. The thoughts that she was probably wrong.

Hannah muttered something incoherent before taking another sip of her drink, watching the ‘people’ go around. It was late, the shops were closed, she’d been shopping for hours and now she was sitting on the grass, relaxing before she’d gather up her things and walk home. It wasn’t far.
